The client has three young ones, with a fourth on the way and this room is dedicated only to play! How fun!

The inspiration for the space started with this amazing Ruggable starburst rug. Best part is that if the kids are painting, doing playdoh, or eating a snack and a spill happens, that top layer comes right off and pops into the wash!

I pulled our color scheme directly from the rug. This beautiful golden rod play canopy has become a favorite spot my client’s son. I love that it looks great AND serves a purpose as a creative imaginary spot fun or reading.

These wall decals were so easy to install and add so much whimsey!

Last, but not least, this precious reading bench has become the perfect spot for lounging AND provides ample toy storage. Amen to toy storage!

Hey there, I'm Michelle!

Interior Decorator in Austin, TEXAS

As the founder and lead interior decorator here at Cultivate Your Space, I'm here to bring you the vision your space—from the baseboards to the ceilings—even if you have no idea at all what your decorating style is.

My job isn't just to design a space you love. I want your living space to be a source of peace, comfort, security, and joy...not just somewhere you lay your head each night.

Most Austin interior decorators only focus on how your space looks—but not me. I care about both how your space functions AND how it makes you feel.
