Design Tips & Trends

Whether you have a separate guest bath space or your overnight guests will be using a shared bathroom, there are a few simple tips to make your guests feel as welcome and comfortable as possible.

I love to have fresh, white towels for guests. It once again adds that hotel feel for guests. They also happen to be easy enough to bleach. Nobody wants someone else’s stains on their towel. Be sure that you have at least two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth per guest.

As far as body products go, I like to provide my guests with everything they might need during their stay with me. I want to make their time at my home as peaceful as possible. My go to for body products are from Public Goods. Public Goods offer a safe option for everyone and is full of only the purest ingredients.

Another reason I choose Public Goods is because they consider the earth in their production. Each bottle is refillable, which saves on the plastic. As a designer, I am also OBSESSED with their branding and I love the simplicity of their products on my counter and in my shower.

Any guest would be pleased to use your Public Goods when staying in your space. A few of my favorites to have on hand for guests are Public Goods’ shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving gel, an unopened toothbrush, and a travel sized tooth paste.

Interior Decorator in Austin, TEXAS

As the founder and lead interior decorator here at Cultivate Your Space, I'm here to bring you the vision your space—from the baseboards to the ceilings—even if you have no idea at all what your decorating style is.

My job isn't just to design a space you love. I want your living space to be a source of peace, comfort, security, and joy...not just somewhere you lay your head each night.

Most Austin interior decorators only focus on how your space looks—but not me. I care about both how your space functions AND how it makes you feel.
